Privacy Policy

Lovefold is a couples app built on the idea that your memories belong to you. That philosophy extends to this website. We collect the bare minimum to run our waitlist and send you your invite when we launch — nothing more.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist we collect:

  • Your email address. Used to send you launch updates and your invite. This is the only personally identifying field we store.
  • Country (coarse). Cloudflare tells us the country of every incoming request. We store the two-letter country code (e.g. "US", "GB") to understand where our early audience is. We do not store your IP address.
  • Attribution data. We capture UTM parameters (source, medium, campaign, term, content), the HTTP referrer, and the landing path — so we know which links or campaigns led people to the page. This stays in our database alongside your email.
  • Your browser's user agent. A basic technical string (browser name, OS) sent automatically with every web request. We record it for debugging.
  • Consent flag and timestamp. We record that you submitted the form and the time at which you did — see Consent below.

We do not collect your name, phone number, location beyond country, or any in-app data at this stage. There are no tracking cookies on this page.

Why we collect it

  • To run the waitlist. Your email is how we send you your invite and the occasional Lovefold update before launch.
  • To understand our reach. Country and attribution data help us see which communities are interested so we can focus our launch efforts.
  • To fight spam. Cloudflare Turnstile (a bot-protection service) verifies submissions. Turnstile operates without cookies or personal data on your device; a cryptographic token is sent to Cloudflare's servers for verification only.

Consent

Submitting the waitlist form constitutes your consent to receive launch-related emails from Lovefold. We note the timestamp of submission as your consent record. You can withdraw consent at any time by requesting deletion — see Retention and deletion below.

Analytics

This page uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is cookieless and privacy-first — it does not set cookies, does not fingerprint individual users, and does not track you across sites. Because it collects no personal data, there is no cookie banner on this page.

Who we share data with

We share data with as few parties as possible:

  • Cloudflare — our infrastructure provider. All traffic flows through Cloudflare's network, and our database (Cloudflare D1), transactional email (Cloudflare Email), and analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) all run on Cloudflare's platform. Your email address is used only to send your confirmation and launch invite. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Retention and deletion

We keep the waitlist until launch and for a reasonable period thereafter (no longer than 12 months post-launch unless you opt in to further contact). You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us at support@lovefold.app. We will delete your entry from our database within 14 days and confirm by email.

Security

Waitlist data is stored in Cloudflare D1, a managed SQLite database that runs on Cloudflare's infrastructure. Access is restricted to our Cloudflare Workers endpoints. All connections use TLS.

Children

This page and the Lovefold waitlist are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top and, where required, notify existing waitlist members by email.
